Setniker Beef

Our cattle are hormone and antibiotics free. They are raised on a diet
of natural grasses, and finished with a ration of grains and forages grown on our farm. This provides incredible flavor, tenderness and marbling. Each animal is USDA inspected and every package of meat is stamped. Our selling facility is located on farm and also inspected and state licensed.

Why Salers:
Originally a French Breed, Salers are well known for the high quality meat they produce. They are unique in the way the fat marbles into the meat, making them genetically very lean, but not sacrificing in taste. Salers also have one of the highest meat yields per pound of carcass weight. This gives you a lot less bone weight when buying by the quarter, half, or whole.

Omega 3 Factor:
On farm we have a small oil seed processing facility that we use to extract oil from Camelina seed and produce bio-diesel. The by-product after crushing is called meal. This meal is then fed as part of our finishing ration. Camelina meal is very high in protein as well as omega 3.
